TAXONOMY: Malaise (1955) treated the genus as three separate genera: (1) Decaperreyia Malaise, 1955, with a filiform, 10- to 12-segmented antenna, (2) Tenuiperreyia Malaise, 1955, with a serrate, 17- to 20-segmented antenna, with the middle segments longer than broad, and with the maxillary and labial palpi 6- and 4-segmented, respectively, and (3) Heteroperreyia (sensu Malaise) with a 15- to 17-segmented antenna with the middle segments not longer than broad, shorter hind basitarsus, and the maxillary palpi 5- and 3-segmented, respectively. Of the seven known species, three (pseudoleprieuri , setava , and sordida ) would belong to Decaperreyia, three (hubrichi, jorgenseni, and rensita) toHeteroperreyia , and one species (costata) to Tenuiperra). Smith (1990) included all species in a single genus.
